NAA Board

The NAA Board of Directors is composed of alumni leaders representing nearly every undergraduate, graduate, and professional school from the University. It includes officers, directors at large, council directors, and ex officio student directors who collectively serve as the strategic advisory body of the NAA, helping the organization fulfill its mission of fostering enduring relationships among alumni—and between Northwestern and its alumni and friends.

The board continues to diversify to ensure its membership reflects today’s students. The NAA has increased Latinx, Asian, and LGBTQ representation on the board, as well as members who graduated from every decade since the 1970s. Explore the NAA board demographics.

Albert Manzone ’93 MBA (’18, ’22 P)

Albert A. Manzone is deputy chief executive officer of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, a publicly traded company that operates in the accommodation, dining, and entertainment services registered in the Principality of Monaco and listed in Paris.

Manzone has more than 30 years of accomplishments in the consumer products and luxury industries. His work includes time at Whole Earth Brands, which he successfully listed on the NASDAQ as its chief executive officer; at PepsiCo and W.M. Wrigley Jr. Company; and at McKinsey & Company. He also serves on the boards of Perrigo Company plc, Omnilit Acquisition Corp., Monaco Digital, and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation for the Environment.

An active member of the Northwestern alumni community, Manzone serves as president of the Northwestern Alumni Association and as a member of the Northwestern University Board of Trustees, which he joined in 2020. Manzone started volunteering after graduate school, serving as president of the NU Club of Switzerland and on campus as a visiting speaker in marketing strategy and innovation.

A native of the Principality of Monaco, Manzone holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern and a graduate degree in international business from Sorbonne University. He speaks English, Italian, and French.

Manzone and his wife, Nathalie, are the proud parents of three children: Charlotte, Clemence ’18, and Philippe ’22.

Kristin Mcdonnell

Kristin Asleson McDonnell ’85 (’21, ’23, ’25 P)

Kristin McDonnell is managing partner of Menlo Group, an investment and advisory firm that invests in tech companies and venture capital funds. A technology industry innovator, she has held executive positions at Fortune 100 corporations and Silicon Valley startups. McDonnell serves as president-elect of the Northwestern Alumni Association and joined the Northwestern University Board of Trustees in 2022. She also serves on the Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Advisory Board.

McDonnell studied industrial engineering and computer science at the McCormick School of Engineering; she also has an MBA from Harvard Business School. Prior to Menlo Group, she held leadership roles at AT&T, Electronic Arts, McKinsey, Limelife, Mplayer, and Xfire. She has worked on teams that have built groundbreaking software products and services, acquired millions of customers, raised significant venture capital, and had multiple IPO and acquisition exits.

McDonnell lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, a tech lawyer. Their three children are also Northwestern Wildcats. She has spoken at Northwestern alumni events on entrepreneurship, innovation, and tech product management. In addition, McDonnell enjoys mentoring student entrepreneurs and interviewing prospective Northwestern students.

Larry Irving

Larry Irving ’76

Larry Irving is president and CEO of the Irving Group, an international consulting firm that provides strategic advice and assistance to telecommunications and information-technology companies, investors, philanthropies, and nonprofit organizations. He is a recipient of the Northwestern Alumni Association’s Alumni Merit Award for distinguished professional achievement as well as an honoree of the Northwestern University Black Alumni Association’s Salute to Excellence Awards. Irving is a graduate of the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences and now sits on its board of visitors.

From 2009 to 2011, Irving was vice president for global government affairs for the Hewlett-Packard Company. Prior to founding the Irving Group in 1999, he spent seven years as US assistant secretary of commerce for communications and information as well as administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. In that role, he was a principal advisor to the president, vice president, and secretary of commerce on telecommunications and information-technology issues. He also was one of the principal architects of and advocates for the Clinton Administration’s telecommunications and Internet policies, and served as a point person for the administration’s successful efforts to overhaul federal telecommunications law.

For his work in promoting policies and developing programs that ensured access to advanced telecommunications and information technologies, Irving was named one of the 50 most influential persons in the “Year of the Internet” by Newsweek magazine in 1994. He was elected to the Internet Hall of Fame in 2019. Irving currently serves as chair of the PBS board of directors and as a member of the boards of directors for Education Networks of America, the Texas Tribune, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, and The Second City.

Irving is a graduate of Stanford University School of Law, where he was elected president of his graduating class. He serves on Stanford’s board of visitors and is a member of the Stanford Associates, the university’s honorary organization for alumni volunteer service.

SARAH PERSONETTE

Sarah Personette ’01

Sarah Personette has served in executive leadership positions at industry-leading companies. She previously served as chief customer officer at Twitter, chief operating officer at Refinery 29, vice president of the global business marketing team at Facebook and president at University McCann. At Northwestern, Personette is a vice president of the the Northwestern Alumni Association.

Personette is a graduate of the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. In 2018, she took the helm at Refinery29, a global media and entertainment company for young women, where she oversaw revenue, business marketing, growth and analytics, distribution, and strategy and insights. Previously, she held senior positions at Facebook, Universal McCann Worldwide, and Starcom Mediavest Group.

Named one of Advertising Age’s “40 Under 40” marketing stars in 2014, Personette received the Next Generation of Women in Communications from NYWICI and was inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Achievement. She sits on the nonprofit boards of the Hackensack Meridian Riverview Hopsital Board, Modern Marketing Association and All In Together. Personette is a previous board member of She Runs It and the Reisenbach Foundation, a former delegate for 30% Club, and a two-time Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow. From 2016 to 2021, she served as a corporate director for Build-A-Bear Workshop. A proud wife and mother of two, she served as an NULC New York Regional Board member, a supporter of the Regional Campaign Committee for We Will. The Campaign for Northwestern, and a co-chair for her 5th, 10th, and 15th Reunion.

Daniel Pink

Daniel Pink ’86 (’25 P)

Daniel Pink is the author of five New York Times bestselling books about business and behavior—including his latest, The Power of Regret (2022). His books have won multiple awards, been translated into 42 languages, and have sold millions of copies around the world. In 2014, he was the graduation speaker at Northwestern’s Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. The previous year, he received the Northwestern Alumni Merit Award.

AnneMarie Suarez-Davis ’92

AnneMarie Suarez-Davis is the Lead Advocate of the Koa Fund, which equips youth to be valiant through grants to purpose-aligned nonprofit agencies and programs inspired by the life of Koa Voight Suarez. Prior to her work at the Koa Fund, Suarez-Davis spent more than 20 years in consumer products marketing including 19 years at the Kellogg Company. Her Northwestern volunteering has involved interviewing applicants as well as talking with prospective students and parents about the benefits of a Northwestern education. Suarez-Davis also serves on the Board of Directors for The Chris Center as well as on the Board of Trustees for University High School.

A graduate of Northwestern’s School of Education and Social Policy, Suarez-Davis earned an MBA at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in 1999. She most recently served as vice president, snacks marketing at the Kellogg Company, where she directed marketing strategy, brand development, and integrated communications for all Kellogg’s Snacks brands including Pringles, Cheez-It, and Keebler. While at the Kellogg Company, Suarez-Davis also served as vice president, frozen foods marketing and innovation and senior director, Pringles global marketing; led the marketing integration for the Pringles brand following the acquisition from P&G; and received the first Marketing Making a Difference Award and the W. K. Kellogg Commercial Excellence award. Prior to joining the Kellogg Company, Suarez-Davis worked at Johnson & Johnson in the consumer products division. Suarez-Davis believes in leading through inspiring teams to make a difference. In recognition of her marketing innovation and performance, Brand Innovators named Suarez-Davis one of the Top 50 Women Brand Marketers in 2015.

Suarez-Davis and her husband, Jon ’97, have two sons. Prior to joining the NAA Board, her service to Northwestern had been at the grassroots level; as a board member, she has enjoyed deepening her relationship with the University.

LINDSAY VAHL DEAN

Lindsay Vahl Dean

Lindsay Vahl Dean is interim executive director of the Northwestern Alumni Association (NAA), where she is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of alumni programs, and provides executive support to the NAA Board as secretary and treasurer. Through her leadership, Vahl Dean strives to foster an inclusive and collaborative environment that allows a growing alumni base to find meaningful ways to connect to their alma matter through passion- and interest-based programming. She has spent her career in college admissions and alumni engagement, and joined Northwestern from Illinois State University in March 2023.

Vahl Dean serves as chair of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s (CASE) District V 2024 annual conference. She has been involved with CASE since 2015, first as a member of the scholarship committee, and held several conference committee positions before becoming part of the conference leadership. Vahl Dean earned her master of science in college student personnel administration and completed coursework toward a PhD in higher education administration at Illinois State. She lives in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago with her husband, Kevin, and has four stepchildren.

Raj Babu ’03, ’09 MBA

Rajesh (Raj) Babu is a leader in the natural foods industry, currently serving as partner at BFG Partners, a venture capital firm focused on investments in food, beverage, beauty, and other consumer goods. Prior to BFG, he was president of Cappello’s, a grain-free frozen foods brand, and president and chief operating officer of Birch Benders, a natural pancake and waffle mix brand, growing the company’s revenue eightfold and leading a successful acquisition by Sovos Brands in 2020.

Babu is a “double purple” Northwestern alum, having first graduated from the McCormick School of Engineering with a dual major in industrial engineering and economics. As an undergraduate he participated in the Freshman Urban Program—where he met his wife, Laura Morsch-Babu ’05—and was active in community organizing. He received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in 2009. His career success has earned him recognition as one of the Denver Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” in 2021 and Progressive Grocer’s GenNext Award.

Babu lives in Denver with his wife and their two children. He sits on the boards of Naturally Boulder, an organization supporting natural and organic products companies in Colorado, and the Nathan Yip Foundation, which strengthens education in rural communities. He also served on the transition team for the mayor-elect of Denver in 2023. His family is proud to have started the Morsch-Babu Student Mental Health Fund at Northwestern, dedicated to making therapy, medication, co-pays, and other wellness services available for free or at a reduced cost to students in need.

pamay bassey

Pamay Bassey ’95 MS

Ekpedeme “Pamay” M. Bassey is chief learning and diversity officer for the Kraft Heinz Company, where she drives a culture of continuous learning, bold creativity, and intellectual curiosity. She is responsible for the company’s global learning and development strategy and initiatives, amplifying the work of employees to create and nurture a diverse and inclusive workplace. She is also a member of the Northwestern University Black Alumni Association.

After earning her BS in symbolic systems with an artificial intelligence concentration from Stanford University, Bassey received an MS in computer science from Northwestern’s McCormick School of Engineering. Prior to joining Kraft Heinz, she served as global head of learning platform and professional development for BlackRock and as president of The Pamay Group, an e-learning design and strategy company. She has published several books, including
Let’s Learn Our Way Through It, Shall We? 
The book is based on her “365 Days of Learning” commitment to learn something new each day for a year and share it with others.

 

Bassey serves on the board of global investment bank Houlihan Lokey and is a life member of the Council of Foreign Relations. She is also a board member of the M&G Etomi Foundation, a nonprofit working to break the cycle of poverty for the people of the Niger Delta region of Southern Nigeria, and a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a public service organization.

Andrea Chen ’07

Andrea Chen is an experienced health technology professional and currently invests in health care focused venture capital funds. Most recently, Chen worked in corporate strategy and new business development at health technology company Philips, focused on Greater China. She previously worked in management consulting at Monitor Group (later Monitor Deloitte) in their life sciences team in Beijing and Shanghai. She has held leadership positions with Northwestern alumni clubs for 13 years and currently serves on the NU Club of Hong Kong executive board and is emerita adviser for the NU Club of Shanghai. She also serves on the Alumni Advisory Council of the International School of Beijing.

Chen received a BA in communication studies with a minor in business institutions from Northwestern, and an MBA from Peking University and Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School in Belgium.

As a Northwestern volunteer, Chen helped re-charter the NU Club of Beijing in 2010 and re-establish the NU Club of Shanghai in 2013. In her five years as president of the Shanghai club, she organized industry-focused alumni speaker panels; actively engaged, built, and maintained alumni communities on WeChat; and recruited new diverse volunteers for the club’s executive board. She was also a member of the NAA Global Connection Committee from 2016 to 2018 and a volunteer for the Alumni Admission Council and Northwestern Network Mentorship Program. She is a former executive board member for the Big Ten Alumni Network in Shanghai and an adviser to Lean In Shanghai. Chen currently resides in Hong Kong with her husband, Jeffrey, and daughter, Alina.

cristy garratt

Cristy Garratt ’10

Cristy Garratt is the head of digital video and social media for CNBC International, where she is responsible for the network’s original digital video content and social media channels. With a specialty in multimedia storytelling, she has spent her career using a mix of gut instinct and data to grow digital audiences from virtually nothing to millions. Leading a team of content creators in London and Singapore, Garratt has successfully launched several new series across multiple platforms for CNBC and has grown CNBC International’s social media following to more than 3 million.

Garratt earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications. While at Northwestern, she served as president of the University’s chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists—helping the chapter to become nationally recognized—and as news director of the Northwestern News Network. Before joining CNBC, Garratt worked as digital editor and communities and engagement manager at ITN Productions and as a multimedia journalist in the United States.

Since moving to London in 2013, Garratt has served on the board for the Northwestern Club of the United Kingdom. She was the club’s president when it won the NAA International Club of the Year award in 2018.

SUSAN HOWE

Susan Howe ’91

Susan Howe oversees global operations for The Weber Shandwick Collective (TWSC), which includes the network’s operating regions—North America; Europe, Middle East, and Africa; Latin America; and Asia Pacific—as well as TWSC’s 12 communications, marketing services, and consulting brands. Howe is a tenacious change agent and has been a key driver of Weber Shandwick’s success for more than 25 years, having held several prominent global roles throughout her tenure, including chief collaboration officer and chief growth officer.

An award-winning brand marketer, Howe began her career at Weber Shandwick as the leader of the consumer marketing practice in Chicago, ultimately taking the reins as general manager of the Chicago office, generating double digit growth and propelling the reputation of the flagship operation. She then became leader of Weber Shandwick’s Brand group, the largest global practice area.

As global president, one of Howe’s hallmarks is her close connectivity with clients; a hands-on leader, she continues to provide senior counsel to many of TWSC’s largest and longest-tenured clients, including Nestlé and Anheuser-Busch. She is also responsible for directing Weber Shandwick’s values-based culture and its commitment to becoming the most inclusive organization in the industry.

A graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications, Howe is a relentless supporter of women in business and has served as the chair of Northwestern’s Council of One Hundred, which connects alumnae to support their career advancement. Howe is also a member of IPG’s Women’s Leadership Network, which aims to be a force for gender equality and opportunity for women within the holding company.

Howe and Willie live in Chicago, within walking distance of Wrigley Field and their beloved Chicago Cubs.

Jack Kang

Jack Kang ’90

Jack Kang is the immediate past president of the Northwestern University Asian and Asian American Alumni Association, which was recognized as the Northwestern Alumni Association’s 2020 Club of the Year. Under his leadership, the 19-year-old organization launched virtual events within weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic’s first stay-at-home orders, and the association leveraged the expertise of Asian American alumni to bring members meaningful, relevant perspectives on issues such as mental health, racism, and women’s empowerment. Kang also was named the 2021 Club Leader of the Year.

Outside of Northwestern, Kang is a senior manager at Wabtec Corporation, a rail technology company; his team determines pricing for the aftermarket industrial parts business. Previously, he spent nearly 20 years in marketing at the General Electric Company, where he led the annual strategic planning process, eco-certified GE’s locomotives, and managed MBA recruitment and new talent training. Prior to GE, Kang worked in banking, eventually reaching senior vice president of marketing analytics. He also filed a patent to convert images of paper checks to electronic deposits.

After graduating Northwestern with a BS in industrial engineering, Kang received an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He resides in suburban Chicago with his wife, RJ Kang, a Presbyterian minister. They have three adult daughters, including one who is a United States Naval officer.

Duke Lin

Duke Lin ’24

Duke Lin is a senior at Northwestern University double majoring in economics and science in human culture and minoring in mathematics. He serves as president of Arch Society and homecoming co-chair. As a long-term intern at Morgan Stanley Chicago, Lin focuses on RV dealerships, helping to source leads and managing CRM for financial advisers. Previously, he was a private wealth consultant intern at Fubon Financial Holding.

Lin’s other student organization leadership roles include associate managing director of Northwestern Undergraduate Research Journal and vice president of Alpha Phi Omega. Lin is also an Undergraduate Program for Advancing Learning peer mentor. He enjoys helping students from diverse backgrounds navigate college and refine their academic strategies.

In his free time, Lin enjoys taking long walks and watching medical dramas and horror movies with his friends. His goals for this upcoming year are to learn a fifth language and to travel back to Taiwan after graduation to spend time with his family.

B. Pagels-Minor ’07

B. Pagels-Minor has built a career on creating great products for dynamic brands while also working to enrich surrounding communities. A Mississippi native, Pagels-Minor relocated from Chicago to California in 2018 to work for some of the world’s largest tech companies, including Apple and Netflix. Pagels-Minor is a transgender nonbinary lesbian whose pronouns are they/them/theirs. In 2022, B. became the first openly transgender venture capital firm lead. They have served as a leader within Northwestern University Pride Alumni Club.

After graduating from the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences in 2007, Pagels-Minor attained both an MBA and a master’s degree in information systems from Robert Morris University. They have been honored nationally and internationally for their work supporting LGBTQ+ and Black communities. Pagels-Minor is a speaker on subjects such as diversity and building successful technology teams and products.

Pagels-Minor sits on a number of boards, including Howard Brown Health, YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago, and Outfest. Their family launched the Suzi Anne Franklin Scholarship Fund in 2020 to honor their mother and support young women of color who attend Northwestern. They have participated in the Northwestern Network Mentorship Program as well as their 5th Reunion committee. Pagels-Minor currently resides in Los Angeles with their wife, Alissa, and son, Journey.

carlos paret

Carlos Paret ’13 MBA

Carlos Paret is the medical affairs director, US operations leader for Transcatheter Heart Valves at Edwards Lifesciences. In this role, he is transforming the impact of the company’s US physician adviser proctor program, advancing complex case/alternative access training and leading digital infrastructure transformation. A Northwestern volunteer since 2014, he received the Northwestern Alumni Association’s Club Leader of the Year Award in 2018.

At Edwards Lifesciences, Paret’s team is leading the digital evolution of physician training, including launching CathlabVR, virtual reality proficiency-based progression training. His team won the inaugural "Patient First" Award for COVID tele proctoring in 2020. Previously, he spent more than 10 years in marketing roles where he worked at the intersection of product marketing, global supply chain, R&D, regulatory affairs, and portfolio strategy.

Paret relocated to Southern California from Chicago in 2013 after receiving his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management. Prior to his move, he served on the board of directors for Heartland Human Care Services, the Heartland Health Outreach Board, and the Cradle Associates Board for The Cradle adoption agency.

Paret previously served as president of the Kellogg Alumni Club of Orange County, chief marketing officer for the Kellogg Alumni Club of Los Angeles, and president of the Northwestern University Club of Orange County. He and his husband, Keith, enjoy transforming their Long Beach forever home with their poodle mix, Mame.

rodney priestley

Rodney D. Priestley ’05 MS, ’08 PhD

Rodney D. Priestley is dean of the Graduate School, the Pomeroy and Betty Perry Smith Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering, and associate director of the Princeton Center for Complex Materials at Princeton University. His research is at the intersection of polymeric materials design and characterization, with application in the broad area of health care and the environment.

Priestley’s love of creativity and discovery fuels his research, which applies principles of physics, chemistry, and engineering to nanoscale processing and characterization of polymers and soft matter, with a particular emphasis on thin films, colloids, and nanocomposites. His contributions to the field of polymer physics and chemistry earned him the 2023 Carl S. Marvel Award for Creative Polymer Chemistry.

Priestley’s other honors include the National Science Foundation CAREER Award, the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, and an Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship, among others. He has been selected for the Root 100 list of most influential African Americans and was named a World Economic Forum Young Global Scientist in 2018.

Priestley has cofounded three companies to translate his research into real-world applications, including AquaPao, a solar water purification technique that he developed with Princeton postdoctoral research associate Xiaohui Xu. This innovation earned the duo a spot on Newsweek’s list of America’s Greatest Disruptors.

At Northwestern, Priestley earned his MS and PhD degrees in chemical engineering. A member of the Black Graduate Student Association, he also participated in numerous outreach activities and service events to enhance diversity and inclusion within the McCormick School of Engineering. Priestley remains committed to these issues today and engages regularly with McCormick to enhance diversity and inclusion in the STEM fields.

Kimberly Riordan

Kimberly Riordan ’26 PhD

Kimberly Riordan is a third-year chemistry PhD candidate in the Kelley Laboratory Research Group. Her current research project is to develop continuous and wearable biosensors for small molecule detection. She is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, a Ryan Fellow of Northwestern’s International Institute for Nanotechnology, and a Northwestern University Department of Chemistry Chair’s Fellow.

Riordan graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2021 with a BS in honors chemistry and a minor in the Glynn Family Honors Program. She worked with Professor Emily Tsui designing a synthesis scheme for trigonal pyramidal sulfur radicals for use in all-radical batteries.

Riordan has served as service chair of the Graduate Student Association since 2022 and is currently copresident. She also is involved with the Science Policy Outreach Taskforce as diplomacy chair. In her free time, Riordan enjoys running along the lakefront and baking new recipes to share with her labmates.

FAIZA SETH

Faiza Seth ’99

Faiza Seth, along with her husband, Pallak Seth ’98, cofounded PDS Multinational, a global conglomerate managing the supply chain of major retailers and brands around the world in various consumer goods including apparel, footwear, home, and beauty products. She received her bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern’s Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.

Seth began her career co-founding Norwest Industries Ltd., an international apparel manufacturing and trading company which is now PDS Multinational business. She also worked as an analyst on the Equity Capital Markets group at Lehman Brothers in Hong Kong.

In 2007, Seth founded Casa Forma Limited, an award-winning international property development, architectural, and luxury interior design business. In addition, she founded and currently manages Soham For Kids, an international charitable foundation focused on educational initiatives in India and Bangladesh. Seth recently founded Avantguard, a positive luxury accessories and athleisure brand. Seth received her MBA in 2006 from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. She currently lives between Hong Kong and London with her husband and three children: Alif, Ayat, and Aria.

Sonalee Singh

Sonalee Singh ’99

Sonalee Singh is an external advisor to global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where she spent more than 20 years of her career in a range of consulting and internal people roles. Most recently, she was the director of global compensation infrastructure, intelligence and advisory at McKinsey. In this role, she focused on advising and counseling more than 60 countries on compensation and human resources topics, including compensation market trends and benchmarking, compensation digitization, and pay equity.

Singh graduated cum laude from the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences with a dual major in mathematical methods in the social sciences and economics. She went on to earn her master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School.

Singh lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband, Ameet, and their two boys. She has been actively engaged in several volunteer roles with Northwestern, including as an applicant interviewer for Northwestern Alumni Admissions Council, a panelist for the Weinberg College Career Summit, and most recently, a member of the DC Regional Alumni Board. As a member of the NAA Board, she looks forward to extending her service to the broader Northwestern alumni community.

PATTY SOLIS DOYLE

Patti Solis Doyle is a CNN political commentator and a nationally recognized political organizer and campaign strategist. In nearly 30 years of politics, she’s helped manage campaigns for Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden. She speaks regularly on the rise of women and minorities in politics, presidential campaigns, and issues affecting Latinx Americans.

Solis Doyle began her career working on Richard Daley’s campaign for Mayor of Chicago. In 1991, she was among the first to join then-Governor Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign. She served as a senior advisor to Hillary Clinton throughout that campaign and two terms in the White House, going on to become chief of staff to the First Lady’s first Senate campaign and manager for Senator Clinton’s political operations, PAC, and 2006 re-election campaign. In 2007, Solis Doyle led Senator Clinton’s first race for the White House, becoming the first Latina to manage a presidential campaign. During the 2008 general election, Solis Doyle joined the Obama for America campaign as chief of staff for Vice Presidential operations. She later managed day-to-day operations for Vice Presidential nominee Joe Biden and served as an advisor to the Obama-Biden campaign during the 2012 presidential election.

Solis Doyle is currently a partner at the Brunswick Group, a global strategic advisory firm. In addition, she works with Hispanic service organizations across the United States. Hispanic magazine honored Solis Doyle with the Latinas of Excellence Award, and Hispanic Business magazine named her one of America’s 100 Most Influential Hispanics. Solis Doyle received her BA in communication from Northwestern. She resides in Washington, DC, with her husband and two children.
