The reunion team currently is in conversations with campus partners and senior leadership to determine a weekend in 2021 to hold Reunion Weekend for our alumni who originally planned to celebrate in October 2020. We will update our alumni as soon as dates are determined.

Through a combination of alumni input, guidelines from University, health, and government officials on gatherings of large sizes, and an abundance of caution, we have decided to postpone Reunion Weekend. The health and safety of our alumni community is very important to us. We don’t want alumni to have to choose between reconnecting with classmates and protecting their health.

While Reunion Weekend highlights 13 celebrating classes each year, all Northwestern community members are always welcome to attend.

To reconnect with classmates, you can find links to join your virtual class book, your class Facebook group, and browse the class directory on your class webpage of the reunion website. You’ll also find a link to our DIY virtual party kit page, which has some fun resources you can use to plan a safe get-together with classmates ahead of your in-person class party in 2021.

To connect with Northwestern, we invite you to utilize our resources, take advantage of virtual engagement opportunities, and read alumni spotlights through NAA’s Virtually Purple webpage, which highlights events hosted by departments throughout the University, all in one place.

Thank you for your generosity. The best way to make a gift or pledge is online. As always, we are grateful for gifts supporting all areas of the University. However, the University has compiled a list of allocations of highest need and priority, which can be found here. We’d love for our committee members to stay on and for new members to join, if they’re interested.

We’ll be asking our committee members to continue to ask classmates to support Northwestern by coming back and giving back. Although “coming back” will look different for now, we still need committee members to engage fellow alumni, reconnect them with their friends and the University, and encourage them to participate in the virtual reunion events this October.
