The Road to Pasadena: The Rose Bowl

This year, we’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of one of the most iconic football teams in Northwestern’s history. We’re extending the invitation to all reunion alumni to join us for Part 3 of the Road to Pasadena series, where team members of the ’95 Big Ten Champion and Rose Bowl football team reminisce about their historic season.

Coming to town for Reunion Weekend? Find resources here―including hotel accommodations in and around Evanston and information about campus parking, shuttles, and public transportation. We’ll update this page frequently, so check back as Reunion Weekend approaches.

Hotel Accommodations

Hotel room blocks for Reunion Weekend 2020 are available at the hotels listed below. Block size is limited, with rooms offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Hotel block availability can only be guaranteed through each hotel’s specified cut-off date. Details about reservation deadlines, rates, and other terms and conditions can be found on the hotel websites through the links below.

Don’t wait too long to make travel plans: Alumni and their guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements, and hotels can fill up fast. The North Shore Convention and Visitor's Bureau and Choose Chicago maintain complete lists of hotels in Evanston and the Chicago area.

Northwestern’s Evanston and Chicago campuses are easily accessible by public transportation, including the CTA subway and bus system and the Metra commuter rail:

Parking and Local Shuttle Options

Parking on Campus

Park free on campus throughout Reunion Weekend: University parking restrictions will be waived from Thursday, October 1 at 5 p.m. through Sunday, October 4 at 5 p.m., excluding emergency lanes and reserved spots. See the Evanston campus parking map.

Football Parking: Game day parking at Ryan Field is only available to season ticket holders with reserved parking passes. All other ticket holders must park in campus lots and walk or take a local game day shuttle (see below for details).

Local Shuttles:
Complimentary shuttle service will be available on Friday, October 2 between Norris University Center (south entrance/Arts Circle Drive) and Evanston host hotels (Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Orrington, Hyatt House). Specific details and schedules will be available this fall.

Complimentary game day shuttle service on Saturday, October 3 will run in continuous loops beginning three hours before kick-off from all campus parking lots and several convenient locations around campus and downtown Evanston. Ryan Field shuttle schedule and pickup location information is available online at NUSports.com.

Divvy Bike Share Stations

Evanston has 10 Divvy bike share stations located around the city and Northwestern’s campus to provide residents, visitors, and students with an additional two-wheeled transportation option. Designed to allow riders to get quickly from Point A to Point B, Divvy is intended for short trips within Evanston or across Divvy’s network of more than 580 Chicagoland stations.
