Gatherings in South AfricaIn February 2007, the Northwestern Alumni Association sponsored receptions for alumni in two of South Africa's largest cities.
The receptions, which were arranged in conjunction with NAA's Treasures of Southern Africa tour, joined 25 program passengers with 12 alumni living in South Africa. The events provided a great opportunity for travelers to meet local alumni and to learn about their experiences living in this land of spectacular biological and cultural diversity.
The first reception, hosted by Trustee Dan Jones (EB61), was held in the "Gold City" of Johannesburg. Photos from this event are showcased below.
Trustee Rich Dean (EB69) hosted the second reception, held in cosmopolitan Cape Town.
