Cruise the Panama Canal
NAA travelers set sail from Miami, Florida, for 11 nights aboard the six-star Crystal Symphony. Nicknamed the Magic City, Miami is a sophisticated blend of pristine beaches, fashionable shops and breathtaking scenery. The ship cruised along the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, the Caribbean Sea and the storied Panama Canal, one of history’s greatest engineering feats. The ports of call included St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Antigua, Aruba and Costa Rica. St. Thomas, known for its white sand beaches, calm, turquoise waters and gently rolling emerald hills welcomed the travelers. In St. Maarten, the group’s nature lovers could scuba dive in the coral reefs or take an invigorating hike. Antigua, boasted many outdoor activities, including its most popular pastime, cricket. Matches can be found almost anywhere on the island, at almost any time. In Aruba, the group took advantage of the duty free shopping and enjoyed a leisurely walk through the charming streets of Oranjestad. The group’s final stop was Costa Rica and the colorful port city of Caldera, where the NAA travelers discovered the lush rain forest terrain, thick jungles and cultivated plantations.
