A Wet But Warm Welcome
On September 18, a wave of thunderstorms drove NAA's annual All-Campus Picnic from its accustomed location on the lawn of the John Evans Alumni Center, but that didn't keep more than 1,900 new students from dining together indoors at Norris University Center, the alternative venue.
Picnickers received the The NAA Roadmap, a guide to NAA student services housed on a handsome 128MB flash drive, as a gift from the alumni association. The spirit squad led the crowd in traditional cheers, and Willie the Wildcat was spotted celebrating the recent victory over Eastern Michigan.
