Find a Job
The NAA partners with Northwestern Career Advancement to offer a number of resources including providing alumni access to search for jobs, helping out Wildcats at Work.
Through Wildcats at Work, the NAA partners with Northwestern Career Advancement to offer alumni access to a job posting platform, allowing alumni to search for jobs and internships. Becoming a mentee in the Northwestern Network Mentorship Program provides opportunities to network and speak with alumni working in a variety of industries and companies. It should not be used to ask people for jobs or internships, but it is a way to learn more about fields of interest and potentially network into companies.
The Career Webinar Series has weekly live webinars on how to stand out as an applicant, how to handle job search stress in the digital age, and much more. Students and alumni can access the Northwestern Career Advancement job board to view job and internship postings. The Northwestern University Alumni group on LinkedIn is another place to network and to connect with alumni who are looking for top candidates.
The NAA has several resources to help you through your career transition.
As you’re exploring options, the Northwestern Intersections podcast can help you learn about different career paths directly from alumni career stories. The Career Webinar Series offers weekly professional development presentations and has upcoming and recorded webinars on career change, finding your purpose in your career, and much more.
Students and alumni can be mentees in the Northwestern Network Mentorship Program. You can search for alumni mentors working in specific industries or at companies you’re interested in. Once you’ve matched with a mentor or two you, can have informational interviews with them to learn about their work, practice interviewing, and much more.
Finally, the Northwestern University Alumni LinkedIn group is a place to connect with alumni who may be working through similar transitions and to learn through thought leadership shared by the Northwestern network.
There are many ways to meet and network with Northwestern alumni in a variety of professional fields. Attending events hosted by the Northwestern Alumni Association and/or your local alumni club is a great way to meet alumni and students living near you. Specific events to look out for include Northwestern Connects and Mentor Circles. You can also connect one-on-one with alumni via the Northwestern Network Mentorship Program, which can be helpful in finding alumni mentors who have offered to help alumni and student mentees. Other great resources for finding fellow Wildcats to connect with include the alumni directory and the Northwestern University Alumni LinkedIn group.
Jobs can be posted for the Northwestern community via the Northwestern Career Advancement job board. If you’re a Northwestern alumnus/a, you can also post jobs via the Northwestern University Alumni LinkedIn group.
The NAA welcomes students to access many of our programs and events.
Career and networking events students are invited to include the Northwestern Externship Program (NEXT).
The Northwestern Network Mentorship Program is a great place to find alumni who want to mentor current students and provide them with career guidance. Alumni mentors also host regular Mentor Circles, where they provide in-depth knowledge on their industry and career topics throughout the year, which are available to students who have joined the mentorship program.
In addition, we encourage students to tune in to the Career Webinar Series and the Northwestern Intersections podcast to learn about career development topics and hear alumni career stories. Students can also access the alumni directory or join the Northwestern University Alumni LinkedIn group to connect with the Northwestern community.
