Homecoming and Reunions

The Northwestern Alumni Association hosted more than 3,200 alumni October 12-14 for Reunion Celebration 2007. Friday events included career and education events, evening cocktail receptions in Evanston and Chicago, the Homecoming Pep Rally and Parade, and then fireworks over Lake Michigan. On Saturday, thousands converged on Ryan Field for the All-Class Reunion Tailgate, and alumni sat together as a group to cheer the Wildcats to an exciting victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers. During half time, reunion volunteers presented the class gifts to President Henry Bienen on behalf of all who contributed. Record numbers of alumni attended class parties across Evanston and Chicago Saturday night. All in all, the weekend was a great success, summed up in the words of one attendee: "Great time, great to see old friends, great football game, proud to be an alum!”
