Northwestern University Black Alumni Association (NUBAA)

NUBAA represents the interests of Black alumni at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our mission is to deepen our members’ commitment to Northwestern and support the University’s efforts to recruit and graduate more African American scholars. NUBAA fulfills this mission by providing extensive alumni networking opportunities and financial support for programs designed to increase the Black student population, including scholarships.

More Than 50 Years Ago: Bursar’s Office Takeover

On May 3, 1968, more than 100 black students occupied the Bursar’s Office in the first major sit-in experienced at Northwestern. NUBAA has partnered with the University to develop programming to commemorate this important event in Northwestern’s history. Here are ways to learn more and participate:
