The John Evans Club was founded in 1954 and named for one of the University's principal founders .

Over the past 40 years, the Club's members have contributed in excess of $500,000,000 to Northwestern.

The purposes of The John Evans Club are:

  • To establish an exemplary pattern of substantial financial support to the University by alumni and friends who have a sustained interest in Northwestern.
  • To offer the assistance and counsel of its members regarding the University's programs
    and activities, including fund raising.
  • To hold meetings at which University representatives discuss the plans and objectives of Northwestern.
  • To sponsor programs and events for the benefit of members, their families, and friends.
