NAA Goes to WickedOn Friday, September 9, 345 Northwestern
alumni and friends watched alumnae Ana Gasteyer (C89) and Heidi
Kettenring (C95) "defy gravity" in Broadway in Chicago's production of the hit Broadway musical Wicked.
Gasteyer and Kettenring made Northwestern proud with their
outstanding performances as Elphaba (aka the Wicked Witch of the West) and her sister Nessarose.
After
the show, stage manager Brian Bogin gave attendees a behind-the-scenes
understanding of the production's many spectacular special effects.
Gasteyer and Kettenring then
joined the Northwestern group for an exclusive discussion in company with fellow cast members Rondi Reed (Madame Morrible)
and Telly Leung (Boq). Dominic Missimi, Director of Northwestern's Certificate
Program in Musical Theatre, acted as faciliator.
Following the discussion, a dessert and
wine reception with NAA's special guests provided the perfect finale to a
"wickedly" wonderful evening at the theater.page 1 of 1 |
