John A. Kessler, M.D. is the Davee Professor of Stem Cell Biology and Chair of the Davee Department of Neurology. He is also the Director of the Northwestern University Stem Cell Institute and the Feinberg Clinical Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Kessler is one of the pioneers in the field of regenerative neurology. His work with stem cells and growth factors has spanned the divide between developmental neurobiology and clinical neurology and has helped pave the way for the development of techniques for repairing the damaged nervous system.
