Faculty Speakers Program

Through this NAA-sponsored program, prominent Northwestern faculty and administrators present timely, fascinating talks and lectures at NU Clubs around the country.

Lectures are often presented in conjunction with a reception, lunch, or dinner sponsored by the host club.

To encourage participation in this program, NAA has committed to the following:

  • Underwrite the promotional and travel expenses of a faculty speaker to areas with large alumni populations;

  • Continue to broaden the participation of faculty in alumni events, especially targeting faculty who have not participated in the past;

  • Continue to maintain the faculty speakers directory.

When planning programs featuring Northwestern University speakers, look for opportunities to:

  • Organize joint programs with other Northwestern groups, such as the local Kellogg or Medill groups or other clubs in a nearby geographic region,

  • Increase awareness of Northwestern University by inviting community groups and/or local school organizations to attend.

  • Increase an event's impact by inviting well-known local alumni to participate in panel discussions with the faculty member.
