Michael Wilbon (J80), journalist
Michael Wilbon (J80), ESPN co-host and Washington Post columnist, is a co-host for ESPN’s popular show “Pardon the Interruption.” Wilbon joined the Washington Post as a general assignment sports reporter in 1980 and since 1990 has been a full-time sports columnist where he offers commentary on national issues of the day as they relate to sports. Wilbon has been a part of the Washington Post’s Olympics coverage since 1984. In 2001, he was named top sports columnist of the year by the Society of Professional Journalists and has been among the top three national sports columnists selected by the Associated Press Sports Editors three times. Wilbon also appears on ESPN’s "Sports Reporters" and has been on ESPN’s "NFL Monday Night Countdown," WRC-TV’s “Redskin Report,” and “Full Court Press” on NBC’s Washington affiliate.
