John Evans Club Goes Green
On evening of February 28th it may have been cold and snowy outside but Hardin Hall on the Evanston Campus was hot with interest about Global Warming. Over 85 inquisitive NU alumni and guests came to hear and learn more about Global Warming.
The John Evans Club hosted their annual fireside talk with Professor David Taylor, assistant chair of the Physics department. Katherine Carlis Pappas C83, GC86, the JEC activity chair commented that “Professor Taylor’s casual style and ability to explain complex physics allowed the audience to understand everything from greenhouse gases to nuclear power plants”.
Prior to the talk, the group enjoyed wine along with hot and cold canapés. Active conversation and questions followed the Professor’s presentation along with dessert. The next JEC event is The WaaMu Show in early May. For more information, please contact Amanda Sloan, Alumni Relations - Director of Clubs. |
