Chicago Alumni Applaud Latest AMTP Show:  In The Bubble

On August 2, as part of the Northwestern Alumni Association's Chicago Theatre event, alumni, friends, faculty and staff filled the Barber Theatre on the Evanston campus to enjoy the new musical In the Bubble, the latest from the American Music Theatre Project. AMTP brings together the nation's leading artists in music theatre to work with NU's faculty and staff.

Following the show, Northwestern Alumni Association theatre guests were invited to stay for an exclusive post-show discussion with director Michael Greif (C81). Greif is a two-time Tony Award nominee for Best Direction of a Musical: in 2007 for Grey Gardens, and in 1996 for Rent, for which he received an Obie Award for direction. Writer Rinne Groff, lyricist Joe Popp and choreographer Luis Perez also graciously participated in the question and answer session. AMTP Artistic Director Stuart Oken served as the moderator for the lively discussion.
