Northwestern Club of Chicago News
The Northwestern Alumni Club of Chicago is proud to enter its fourth year of participation in the Alumni for Public School (APS)/Chicago Public Schools (CPS) project, a non-profit organization designed to encourage and facilitate partnerships between CPS and the Chicago chapters of college and university alumni associations from around the world.
The goals of APS are to expand learning opportunities for CPS students and to provide alumni clubs with a meaningful service activity. APS works with CPS to match elementary and high schools with a given alumni club based on the school's needs and the club's resources.
The NU Club of Chicago is officially matched with Lincoln Park High School (a neighborhood school at 2001 North Orchard Street). The club is unofficially matched with Northside College Preparatory High School (a magnet school at 5501 North Kedzie Avenue), and teo elementary and two high schools in the northwest suburbs
