Back to School: Alumni Advise Students Online

As Fall Quarter 2007 drew to a close, nearly 200 Northwestern alumni participated in a special online program. Over the course of two weeks, these alumni communicated in an online forum with students in Professor Bill White's Organizational Behavior class. The alumni addressed questions raised by students centered on topics ranging from whether Joe Girardi was the best choice to manage the New York Yankees baseball team to whether sales incentives for mortgage originators caused the housing loan financial crisis.

Alumni and students alike enjoyed the dialogue, and the interaction with alumni volunteers greatly helped students as they completed their final papers in the class. If you are interested in serving as an alumni advisor in the future, please email 342class@alumni.northwestern.edu. If you are interested in finding career connections with fellow Northwestern alumni and students, you may wish to sign up on Northwestern CareerNet (see instructions below).

The student papers follow, in PDF format. If you have trouble downloading them, please make sure you have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer (if you do not, the application is free and you can download it here).
