NU Club of Austin

Welcome to the Northwestern University Club of Austin, Texas Web page.

The NU Club of Austin is here to provide opportunities for alumni, students and their parents, and friends of NU to network for professional and intellectual enrichment, build enthusiasm and spirit for NU through fellowship, assist NU in recruiting promising local high school students and raising student scholarship funds, serve as ambassadors on behalf of NU in the greater Austin and Central Texas area, and, above all, have FUN!

We have over 500 area alumni, including a large number of active club participants, and have continued to grow in our membership with each graduating class. We meet throughout the year for a variety of purposes: social, professional, and educational.

Popular events held include our annual new/returning student party, fall wine tasting social, football and basketball watching parties at Legends Sports Bar, visiting professor lecture series, and local sporting (Round Rock Express Baseball and Austin Ice Bats Hockey) and performing arts events (e.g., Austin Symphony Orchestra concert or Broadway Theater performance).

Our club also participates in area joint Big Ten alumni social events such as golf tournaments, family picnics, area festivals and local charity events.
