Via Chicago Transit Authority (The "L")

Two different CTA lines offer service to Evanston.

On week days during commuting hours, the Purple Line runs around the loop and then north to Belmont station. From Belmont, the train runs express to Howard station in Evanston, after which it makes all local stops in Evanston.

At all other times, riding the CTA to Evanston requires that riders take the Red Line north to Howard. At Howard, transfer to a northbound Purple Line train to Linden.

Disembark the Purple Line train at Davis Street.

Turn left, heading east onto Davis Street.

Walk one long block from Benson Avenue to Orrington Avenue.

Turn left, heading north onto Orrington Avenue.

Walk two blocks to Clark Street.

Turn right and head east on Clark Street to Sheridan Road. The John Evans Alumni Center is on the corner of Clark Street and Sheridan Road.
